Badminton Session Coordinator ("we", "our", or "the app") helps organizers coordinate amateur badminton sessions, allowing players to find, join, and manage matches. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how you can request its deletion.
2. Information We Collect
When you log in using a third-party provider (such as Discord or Google), we receive the following information from that provider:
- Name — Your public display name as provided by the login provider.
- Email address — Your primary email address associated with the login provider account.
- Profile picture — Your public profile image URL as provided by the login provider.
We do not collect any additional information from your social media accounts beyond what is listed above. We do not access your friends list, posts, photos, or any other content.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Authentication — To identify you and allow you to log into the app.
- Profile display — To display your name and profile picture to other members of your badminton community.
- Communication — To associate your account with an email address for account-related communication if needed.
- Session coordination — To allow you to join and manage badminton sessions within your communities.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties. Your data is only visible to other members of the communities you belong to within the app (for example, your name when you join a session).
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in a self-hosted database. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. No data is sent to external analytics or advertising services.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion (see below), your data will be removed promptly.

Upon receiving your request, we will delete your account and all associated personal data within 30 days. This includes your name, email, profile picture, and any session participation records.

This app is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 14. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14 without parental consent, in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (chapter P-39.1), s. 4.1 and s. 14. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
